Pre & Post Natal

Pre & Post Natal

Our studio is experienced in supporting clients in the pre and post natal period with group classes and 1:1 sessions. We use the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RANZCOG) exercise guidelines for pregnancy to ensure we provide you with the relevant modifications during your pre and post natal terms.

We have developed the following guide to help answer some of your questions and recommend speaking with the studio before commencing classes (especially if you are new to exercise).

We are more than happy to discuss any queries you may have and excited to support you during and after your pregnancy.

It is our studio policy that you receive medical clearance from your GP/Specialist prior to participating in any of our sessions.

0-16 weeks – as soon as you find out you are pregnant (congratulations!), please see your GP to gain clearance to start or continue with Pilates.

16+ Weeks

Congratulations on your pregnancy journey! If you haven't yet experienced the benefits of Pilates in your first 16 weeks, we're here to support you every step of the way.

Please reach out to our studio so we can arrange a personalised 1:1 session before joining our group classes. This allows us to introduce you to the equipment, make necessary modifications, and ensure you gain maximum benefit from our classes.

In alignment with RANZCOG recommendations, we limit supine exercises after 16 weeks. To accommodate this, we provide our expectant clients with a 'pregnancy wedge' for comfortable positioning during exercises.

Your safety and comfort are our top priorities. We're thrilled to assist you in embracing the Pilates journey during this special time. Please don't hesitate to contact us.

30+ Weeks

We understand that every pregnancy journey is unique, and individuals experience various challenges and changes during this special time.

Some of our clients have expressed that participating in group classes becomes more challenging around the 30-week gestation period, while others continue beyond this stage. We respect and acknowledge these differences.

In order to provide you with the best possible support, we kindly request you to connect with us around the 30-week mark. This will allow us to assess your needs and tailor our Pilates sessions accordingly.

Whether you prefer our regular group classes or personalised 1:1 small group sessions, we are here to assist you in maintaining your fitness routine comfortably and safely during your pregnancy.

Post Natal

Whether you're returning to TRS or starting Pilates post bub we are here to support you on your Pilates journey.

For your safety and wellbeing, please ensure you have medical clearance from your doctor to recommence exercise.

To help you get the most out of group class, we kindly request you get in touch with us so we can provide any necessary modifications as you start out.

Our teachers are experts in their field and will work with you to ensure a smooth transition. We are here to fully support you and create a positive, empowering environment.

Please reach out to us to schedule your session; your health and confidence are of paramount importance to us.

IVF & Pilates

The IVF journey brings a range of unique experiences and challenges, and everyones body responds differently, so it is essential to be kind to your body. Some may find the strength to continue with your Pilates, while others might require a pause.

At TRS, your well-being is our priority. We recognise the importance of tailored support, especially for those undergoing IVF treatments. If you find yourself in need of personalised modifications in your Pilates sessions or wish to have your pack reviewed, we are here to assist you.

Don't hesitate to email the studio, and Ella, who has experienced the challenges of IVF herself, will personally reach out to you. Her insight and compassion make her uniquely qualified to understand your needs.

Remember, we are here to support you every step of the way.
